FutureMe Challenge No. 1 Completed, Challenge No. 2 Coming Soon
The 2025 FutureMe, Powered by NRECA™ challenges are off to a great start. Below, read a recap of Focus on Fiber and a preview of the next challenge, Make Your Move, which cooperatives can still register for.
Focus on Fiber
More than 1,400 participants from 117 co-ops registered for the Focus on Fiber challenge, which emphasized the importance of incorporating fiber into a person’s diet; 1,087 accomplished the challenge goal of logging daily fiber consumption for at least 21 days of the 28-day challenge.
If your co-op is enrolled in FutureMe rewards, employees received points for completing the challenge. Additionally, 10 people were selected at random to each receive a $100 gift card and $100 to give to the charity of their choice.
The NRECA FutureMe team congratulates all co-ops and their employees for participating and their commitment to eating a fiber-filled nutritious diet!
Make Your Move
The Make Your Move challenge runs May 14 through June 10 and encourages participants to form a habit of consistent physical activity. Regular activity provides immediate and long-term benefits, such as boosting brain health, strengthening bones and muscles, improving sleep and reducing numerous health risks, including some cancers, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
If you elected a FutureMe rewards tier for 2025, your co-op is automatically eligible to participate in the challenge. If not, your co-op can register by emailing the NRECA FutureMe team at futureme@nreca.coop by April 24.
If your co-op is participating, your employees who are registered on the FutureMe portal will receive an email in early May from WebMD inviting them to join the challenge.
Encourage your employees to participate by using the flier, poster and monitor ad found under the Resources section on the FutureMe challenges page. Additional ways to motivate and support your colleagues include hosting a kickoff event or offering small giveaways. If you have questions, email the NRECA FutureMe team at futureme@nreca.coop.
