Distribute and Acknowledge 2016 401(k) Safe Harbor Notices

If your cooperative sponsors the NRECA 401(k) Pension Plan with the Safe Harbor provision, you should have already received a Message Center alert with a link to your 2016 Safe Harbor notice.

If you haven’t already, please give the notice to 401(k) Plan participants right away. The distribution deadline is November 30, 2015.

Acknowledge Distribution
You must also acknowledge distributing your notices. This year, acknowledgement is much easier. Just follow the link in your original Message Center alert or go to the Retirement Plan Documents – Safe Harbor Notices page on the Employee Benefits website. From there you can download the notice and also fill out the online acknowledgement form.

Confirming that you’ve distributed your Safe Harbor notice is a critical step in maintaining plan compliance. NRECA must keep accurate distribution records to comply with federal regulations, so please help us by acknowledging distribution of the notice.
