CVS/pharmacy Acquires Target Pharmacies

CVS Health has acquired all retail pharmacies inside of Target stores in 47 states.

As a result, 1,660 Target pharmacies have been rebranded as CVS/pharmacy, increasing the number of CVS/pharmacy locations to 9,500. This means more convenient, in-person access for NRECA Medical Plan participants, and it puts CVS/pharmacy in new markets, including Seattle, Denver, Salt Lake City and Portland (Oregon).

CVS/pharmacy locations, now including those in Target  stores, are part of the Exclusive Choice network. Exclusive Choice retail pharmacies, which also include Walmart, Sam’s Club and Cardinal Health, as well as CVS/caremark mail-order pharmacy, offer discounted prices for participants of NRECA’s Medical Plan.

A listing of nationwide retail pharmacies within the Exclusive Choice network is available at Cooperative.com > My Benefits > Guidance & Resources > Insurance Plan Documents. For mail-order pharmacy, participants can place orders through caremark.com after creating an account.
