Coming in July: “Retirement Strategies for Women: Turning Challenges into Opportunities” Webinar

Are there differences in the way women and men think about money or save for retirement? The short answer is “yes.” Studies show that women in general aren’t motivated by charts and graphs and account balances—they want to know what those dollars can buy. A particular challenge is the fact that, on average, women earn less and live longer.

What does that really mean for planning for retirement?

Find out as Kathie Hurley from NRECA’s Personal Investment & Retirement Consulting (PIRC) team hosts the next Lunch & Learn webinar on Wednesday, July 13, at 2 pm, ET. Men in the audience will also want to take notes as some lessons are universal!

Register today so your employees can learn about:

  • Why women should plan for more years in retirement than men;
  • What it means to be part of the sandwich generation and how it may affect retirement benefits;
  • How conservative investing may cost more than it earns over time; and
  • Which services provided by the PIRC team can help employees plan for long-term financial security.

The presentation will last for 30 minutes and will be followed by a question and answer period.

Benefits administrators are encouraged to register on behalf of their co-op and invite employees to attend the session in a break or conference room. A recorded version of the session will be posted online in case you would like to share it with your employees after the live session.
