Check Out the Improved Find Care & Costs Experience

The Find Care & Costs tool accessed through the NRECA Employee Benefits website has a new, improved experience. NRECA Medical Plan participants will enjoy enhancements like:

  • Easier navigation
  • Smarter search capabilities
  • Updated cost estimate details
  • More relevant results with fewer clicks

The back-end directory and eligibility data remain the same.

The improved landing page has more information up front, including “Find a provider” and “Estimate costs” tabs so participants can select their search experience. Both search tools return in-network provider information.

Find a provider
The “Find a provider” search provides average area costs for services and features these search experience enhancements:

  • More personalization with the participant’s name added to the page header.
  • Tabs for the top-searched categories (e.g., Primary Care, Medical Specialists, Behavioral Health, Health Supplies and Facilities) to help participants find what they need in fewer steps.
  • Suggested providers shown on each category landing page before a search is initiated.
  • Reorganized provider detail pages that include the provider’s biography and the patient ratings moved up front.
  • An interactive map that allows participants to see a provider’s proximity to their current, or selected, location.

Cost estimates
The “Estimate costs” search returns customized cost estimates based on where a participant is in meeting his or her plan deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums. The search experience enhancements include:

  • More personalization with the participant’s name added to the page header.
  • Buttons for commonly requested cost estimates (e.g., Primary care, Behavioral Health and Test and services).
  • Links on the landing pages for common cost estimates to additional pages, including “Frequently billed services” and other related procedures.
  • More appealing cost estimate details pages that make it easier to find required cost estimate information.
  • Identification of services that require prior authorization by an alert at the top of the cost estimate details page, as well as a note next to the service requiring prior authorization.
