Certain GLP-1 Medications No Longer Available Through the CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy

Beginning May 15, 2024, the CVS CaremarkTM Mail Service Pharmacy will no longer dispense all dosages of the following glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) medications because of widespread supply issues due to increased demand:

  • Mounjaro
  • Trulicity
  • Wegovy
  • Saxenda

Participants who currently have prescriptions on file for these medications are being notified of this change by a letter from CVS Caremark. CVS Caremark Mail Service Customer Care representatives are also calling participants to offer alternative options for filling their medications, including transferring prescriptions to another pharmacy.

If an impacted participant attempts to fill an existing or new prescription for one of these drugs, they will be notified that their order cannot be processed by mail service and directed to a retail pharmacy to fill their prescription.

Participants can find an in-network pharmacy, including Exclusive Choice pharmacies, by going to cooperative.com > My Benefits > My Insurance > Manage Your Prescriptions. They can then choose “Plan & Benefits” and “Pharmacy Locator.” Exclusive Choice pharmacies are identified as preferred pharmacies.

If participants have questions, they can call CVS Caremark Customer Care at 888.796.7322.
