Annual Base Salary Collection Begins September 2

This year’s collection period for cooperatives’ annual base salary data, also referred to as “November 15 salary data,” runs from September 2 to October 10, 2025. Submit your data through the Employee Benefits website’s November 15 Base Salaries event.

Salary data is collected from co-ops that participate in NRECA salary-based benefits through the Group Benefits Program and/or Retirement Security Plan. This data will affect 2026 billing and is also needed to ensure accurate annual enrollment information for co-ops that offer either NRECA’s life insurance or disability products, or both.

Before submitting your data, remember to verify, and update if needed, your employees’ job position codes according to the NRECA Job Classification list. NRECA uses job position information to ensure employees receive relevant targeted communications and to provide accurate data for the National Compensation System. This system is a key budgeting tool used by co-op CEOs to ensure competitive wages and salaries.

Note: There are two new positions added to the Job Classification list for 2026: broadband fiber maintenance technician (57-2422) and graphic designer (22-3372). Be sure to classify or re-classify any employees who may fit into these positions.

Benefits administrators can find instructions, resources and more details on submitting salary data and updating job position codes on the Annual Base Salaries Information page in the BA Guide.
