Fight the Flu and COVID This Fall at Your Co-op
Fall has arrived and temperatures are cooling, which means flu season is not far behind.
Now is a good time to remind your employees about considering a flu shot, as well as updated COVID-19 vaccines. NRECA Medical Plan participants can receive the flu and COVID vaccines at no cost from an in-network provider or at any retail pharmacy that offers vaccines and is a part of the CVS Caremark national network.
Use this “5 Things to Know About the Flu Shot” infographic at your cooperative to educate your employees about the vaccine’s effectiveness, flu shot coverage and cost, and more.
For the convenience of your employees, consider holding a flu shot event at your co-op. Through WebMD, NRECA’s well-being partner, a team of health care professionals can travel to your co-op and conduct an onsite flu shot event. There is a fee per person, and a minimum of 10 people per event is required. To schedule an onsite event or if you have questions, contact the WebMD program administrator at 503.416.2522 or NRECAadmin@webmd.net. Be sure to reach out soon, as WebMD requires several weeks of advance notice.
