Retrieve 2021 Test Results by January 20

To prepare for 2022 nondiscrimination testing and for the next retirement plan restatement cycle, after the close of business this Friday, January 20, 2023, the following historical documents will be archived:

• Retirement plan adoption agreements dated before July 1, 2022 (the effective date of the 401(k) Pension Plan and Retirement Security Plan restatements)
• Nondiscrimination test results from the 2021 plan year

Remember to download your cooperative’s 2021 test results and your older plan adoption agreements before archiving to preserve them for your plan files.

Nondiscrimination testing results are available online throughout the year to the primary benefits administrator at your co-op. They are then archived each January to make room for the next plan year’s output.

Similarly, plan adoption agreements reflecting changes you’ve made to your Retirement Security Plan or your 401(k) Pension Plan are available for five years and are then archived when the plan is restated. The next restatement will occur on July 1, 2027.

Archiving will occur after the close of business this Friday, January 20. After that date, if you need copies of earlier test results or adoption agreements, you can obtain these by emailing pension.compliance@nreca.coop or calling 866.673.2299, option 7.
