New Resources Highlight Ideas for Prescription Drug Savings

With the inflation rate at its highest in 40 years and the prices of gas, groceries and other goods way up, finding ways to save money is as important as ever.

Fortunately, there are many ways for NRECA Medical Plan participants to save on prescription drugs—for themselves and the plan. NRECA’s new “shop smart” resources call out key steps participants can take to shop for lower-cost prescription drug options—from using Exclusive Choice pharmacies to asking their doctor for a similar, but less costly, drug to treat their condition.

These new resources are available on the Prescription Drug page of the NRECA Employee Benefits website for you to share with your employees: a video, infographic and poster (print copies of the poster can be ordered using the publication code). NRECA is also mailing a “shop smart” postcard this week to medical plan participant households.
