2022 Compliance Calendar Now Available
The 2022 compliance reminder calendar is now available on the Employee Benefits website. Each year, the benefits compliance team provides files containing tasks and reminders for NRECA’s benefit plans during the upcoming plan year. Once imported, reminders for each approaching deadline and task due date appear in your Outlook calendar as an “all day” event at the top of the day’s task list. The reminders do not generate a pop-up dialog box, keeping them noticeable yet separate from your daily appointments.
Next year’s calendar contains typical recurring annual reminders, plus several tasks that support the upcoming Retirement Security (RS) Plan and 401(k) Pension Plan restatements. The retirement plans are restated every five years; the next restatement date is July 1, 2022.
Choose only the reminders you need by importing one of three files available on the Compliance Calendar page of the Employee Benefits website.:
- Group Benefits Program,
- RS and 401(k) Plans, or
- Both group benefits and retirement plans
The page contains step-by-step instructions for importing a file. Each file is in comma separated value (.csv) format, which is compatible with all versions of Microsoft Outlook, including older versions. Even if you do not use Outlook, you can usually still import the reminders into your email or calendar program. The steps may vary slightly from those listed in the instructions.
