Acknowledge Distributing 2021 Group SPDs

March 1 was the deadline to distribute your cooperative’s 2021 NRECA Group Benefits Program summary plan description (SPD) documents. Don’t forget the final step, which is to complete all outstanding distribution acknowledgements by March 15. Outstanding acknowledgements are listed under the “Documents Requiring Acknowledgement” header on the Group Plan Documents page of the Employee Benefits website.

If your co-op has pending acknowledgements, you will receive periodic Message Center notifications reminding you that acknowledgements remain outstanding. The benefits compliance team will begin reaching out individually to benefits administrators at co-ops that still have pending acknowledgements, first via email and then by phone. Email reminders will be sent April 1. In anticipation of this deadline and to keep the plans in compliance, be sure to finish your distribution acknowledgements before March 15.
