Teladoc Sets Fee Increase for January 1

Effective January 1, 2021, Teladoc^® is increasing their consultation fee from $45 to $55 across their book of business. For the NRECA Medical Plan, this affects participants in the high-deductible health plan (HDHP) until they meet their deductible; participants in the non-HDHP will continue to access Teladoc at no additional cost. 

As a reminder, the consultation fee is currently waived through October 25, 2020, for HDHP participants due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Annual enrollment materials for 2021 plans reflect the fee increase, and households in the medical plan will receive a postcard with the change information in December of this year. Educational and promotional materials will be updated to reflect the new fee by November of this year.
