2025 and Q1 Well-being Resources Now Available
As previously announced, our 2025 focus is on nutrition, which is the backbone of a person’s well-being.
Throughout the year, we’ll feature FutureMe, Powered by NRECA™ resources designed to inspire and equip your employees to form healthy eating habits.
Find all information you need about these resources on the FutureMe page in the BA Guide. And check out the short video summary of what lies ahead in 2025.
First-quarter focus: Nutrition in a Nutshell
Our first-quarter theme highlights the building blocks for a healthy diet, focusing on nutrition basics that can set participants up for success.
Download and share these infographics:
- The 3 Big Macs of Nutrition, an overview of the body’s need for macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats).
- Shop with a Sharp Eye for Groceries, emphasizing the value of reading nutrition labels on food items.
- Your Well-being Starts with Good Nutrition, highlighting that nutrition is the foundation upon which to build your overall health.
Sign up for the FutureMe challenge
Focus on Fiber is our first of three 2025 challenges, scheduled for February 12-March 11. All co-ops in the NRECA Medical Plan are eligible to participate and can register by contacting the NRECA FutureMe team at futureme@nreca.coop by January 10. If your co-op is enrolled in a FutureMe rewards tier for 2025, you are automatically eligible to participate and do not need to register for the challenge.
Be sure to promote the challenge at your co-op and encourage employees to sign up using our poster, infographic and monitor ad, all of which you can find on the FutureMe challenges page.
Register for the health coach Q&A webinar
Sign up for our first webinar of the year, “Q&A with a WebMD Nutrition Health Coach,” set for February 12. Participants will learn about FutureMe coaching and tips on healthful eating habits.
Other FutureMe resources
FutureMe offers tools to support participants’ well-being in a variety of ways, not just in terms of nutrition. Tools include FutureMe coaching for weight management, tobacco cessation, stress and more, and the FutureMe survey—a health assessment that identifies areas to work on. You can find brochures, fliers and more to promote these tools on the FutureMe page in the BA Guide.
Plus, the FutureMe portal includes two new features available January 1: Side Quests, in which participants personalize a plan to commit to exercise, ease stress, sleep better and more; and Community, a forum where NRECA participants can share tips, discuss experiences and offer encouragement to each other.
As we approach the new year, encourage your employees to create an account on the FutureMe portal. Participants can access the portal along with other resources on the NRECA Employee Benefits website’s FutureMe page for participants.
